Asbach Besucher Center
Asbach & Co was founded in Rüdesheim am Rhein on 11 May 1892 by Hugo Asbach, a 24-year-old businessman and distiller. He started production of his brandy using just two pot stills and a legend was born. From the finest grapes to the finished spirit: an entertaining and informative film presents the
fascinating story behind Asbach and the creation of the brand. A unique manufacturing process is the secret behind the high quality of Asbach products. Visit the distillery to witness the distillation process first-hand. Experience the spirit of wine in the Asbach shop, where you have the opportunity to taste and purchase all these qualities by yourself. Tours with profes-sionally hosted tastings can be arranged through Rüdesheim Tourist AG.

Georg Breuer – Vinothek
Only the best Rieslings bear the name of the vineyard site on the label. Visitors can sample and purchase these outstanding dry wines from the Rüdesheimer Berg – Berg Roseneck, Berg Rottland, Berg Schlossberg and Rauenthaler Nonnenberg vineyards in the Georg Breuer estate wine shop. The specialist retailer also stocks a range of German, Portuguese, French and Israeli wines.

This friendly gift shop on the Rhine promenade is a treasure trove of handcrafted presents both large and small. In fact it is difficult to choose from the cornucopia of beautiful regional souvenirs, decorations and accessories for your home. The shop stocks products from Swarovski, Bree, Goebel, “Schenken und Wohnen”, Rosina Wachtmeister and many others.

Käthe Wohlfahrt GmbH & Co. OHG
The name “Käthe Wohlfahrt” is synonymous with the traditional Christmas. Located next to the Rüdesheim cable car station, the specialist Christmas shop is open all year round selling a wide selection of traditional German Christmas decorations. The products from the company’s Christmas workshop in Rothenburg are made from high quality raw materials such as glass, wood and tin and designed by creative artists and professional craftsmen.

The Abbey shop and cafe run by the Benedictine Abbey of St Hildegard sells a wide range of items including Riesling and Spätburgunder wines from the abbey’s own vineyards, spelt products, liqueurs and bitters, goods from the abbey’s ceramics and goldsmith‘s workshops, candles, icons, art cards, small gifts and an extensive selection of books, e.g. about Saint Hildegard of Bingen.

Dr. Näglers Weindepot – Vinothek
Riesling wines have been grown by the Dr. Nägler estate for six generations. Friedrich Nägler was first recorded as an owner of vineyards on the Rüdesheimer Berg as early as 1826. The estate wine shop sells its own wines and sparkling wines, fruit wines in glass carboys, fine regional spirits and liqueurs as well as top wines from other producers. Wine tastings take place in the estate wine shop, vaulted cellar or in the vineyards.

Peter Rehwald Präsente
Peter Rehwald Präsente has been a fixture in Rüdesheim‘s old town since 1976. The shops in the Drosselgasse and Oberstrasse sell typical German gifts and souvenirs, such as cuckoo clocks from the Black Forest, beer tankards, traditional crafts from the Erzgebirge mountains, porcelain dolls and Plauen lace. A staircase leads from the shop directly down to the “Weinerlebniswelt” wine experience in the historic vaulted cellar of the Drosselmüller restaurant
