Tasting Walk - Enjoy a varied wine tasting ramble that visits a number of Rüdesheim's wine merchants and allows you to taste a total of 8 wines for a price of just € 12.50. Add the wine merchant in Assmanshausen for a total of 10 wines for € 15.00. Start your walk at any participating wine merchant and taste two wines - the favourite house wine and a wine of your choice. Then continue to the next wine merchant, taste another two wines and discover more about the winemaking traditions of the Rheingau. And on to the next one ... at the end of your odyssey you will receive a wine glass as a memento.

WINEWALKS for individual guests

Almost everyone who comes to Rüdesheim and sees the vineyards stretching out around the town will be seized by the sudden desire to go walking or hiking. But what is that winemaker doing over there? What is the name of that chapel? If you would like to find out the answers to these questions and more, then one of the regular wine walks offers the ideal solution. Explore the area with an expert guide and enjoy the sights, sounds and textures of a 2000 year old wine tradition, well-fortified by THREE different wines.
Guided wine walks through the vineyards including detailed background information. Alternative events during bad weather take place in the wine shop or vaulted cellar.
Every Saturday at 17:00, meeting place in Rüdesheim’s old town in front of the Dr. Nägler Weindepot (Oberstrasse 44) April-Oct & Dec., Duration approx. 90 minutes, 3 Rüdesheim Riesling wines including tasting glass: € 10, Guaranteed wine walks for 2 or 100 people, No prior registration necessary!

Wine tasting on the water

Enjoy wine tasting on a river cruise through the Upper Middle Rhine Valley UNESCO World Heritage site. See the vineyards of Rüdesheim and Assmannshausen by boat. Set on steep slate hillsides, these include some of the most famous wineries in Germany. ‘Wine tasting on the water’ tours are offered every other Sunday of the month between April and September (departing at 5.10pm, jetty 16). Drosselkellerei

Hotel Lindenwirt, a time-honoured establishment with its own winery, has opened a new visitor attraction – the Drosselkellerei world of wine. In the historical
vaulted cellars of Zum Drosselmüller (an inn on Drosselgasse), you and your guests
get the full wine experience. On a free guided tour of the cellars, you learn all about
how wine is grown and how it gets from the grape to your glass, and about the Rheingau region and its wines. During an audio-visual wine tasting, you get to sample fine regional wines and local culinary specialities to go with them. Enjoy lunch and marvel at the beauty of the landscape on a guided wine walk through the Rüdesheim vineyards.
