Declaration on accessibility

This declaration on digital accessibility applies to the website published at ruedesheim.de.

We endeavor to make our website and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Hessian Disability Equality Act (HessBGG) and the Hessian Ordinance on Accessible Information Technology (HVBIT) for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

Date of preparation of the declaration on accessibility

This declaration was created on 13.06.2025.

Status of compliance with the requirements

The accessibility requirements are set out in Sections 3 (1) to (4) and (4) of the HVBIT, which was issued on the basis of Section 14 of the HessBGG.

This website largely meets the requirements, but there is still room for improvement in some areas.

Restrictions on accessibility

Some of the content listed below is not barrier-free for the following reasons, which results in partial incompatibility with Section 3 (1) of the HVBIT:

1. font size

In some cases, the font size is not optimal. Therefore, a font size button for changing the font size will be added. 
This will be implemented in the website by 04.07.2025 at the latest.

2. contrasts

The contrast display is due to the original design/CD. A contrast button will be added to improve this. 
This will be implemented in the website by 04.07.2025 at the latest. In the long term, a better standard display will be worked on.

3. quickfinder

The Quickfinder and further content are currently not (yet) accessible. We are working on an adaptation

4. texts and navigation in easy language and sign language

The provision of all content in easy language or as sign language videos. It is not possible to provide all of the content in these languages for economic reasons in accordance with Section 3 (5) HVBIT.

5. booking and information system Booking & More
  • For some non-textual content that is presented to you, there is no equivalent textual alternative that fulfills the same purpose;
  • In some cases, information, structures or contexts conveyed by the presentation of pages cannot be determined programmatically (or are not available via text);
  • In some cases, where the order in which content is presented affects its meaning, this is only done visually and not structurally;
  • The visual presentation of text and images containing text does not always have the required minimum contrast ratio, with the exceptions provided for in the regulations (e.g. logos);
  • Content that does not require a two-dimensional display (e.g. data tables or maps) is not rearranged when resized;
  • Some features cannot be activated via the keyboard (or a similar input interface);
  • Some animations, flashing, sliding or self-updating information are automatically started, have a duration of more than five seconds or are presented in parallel with other content, there are no mechanisms to stop or hide them;
  • On some web pages that can be navigated sequentially and where the navigation order affects meaning and functionality, some objects that can receive focus do not receive it in an order that preserves their meaning and functionality;
  • Headers and/or labels do not sufficiently clarify the content or functionality;
  • In some cases, no labels or instructions are provided when the content requires user input;
  • In some cases, user interface components (including: elements of a form, links and scripted components...), name, role, status, properties and values are incorrect or not set, or the user and their assistive technologies are not notified when these change;
  • In some cases, status messages are not presented to the user in a way that assistive technologies can interpret them without shifting focus;
6. editorial content
  • In a few cases, graphics have no alternative text or caption
  • Links are not always provided with meaningful link texts
  • Link texts for downloads do not always reflect the file format
  • The points listed above are to be rectified by 31.07.2025 at the latest.

Enforcement and monitoring body for barrier-free information technology

If no satisfactory solution is found even after your feedback to the above-mentioned contact, you can contact the Barrier-free Information Technology Enforcement and Monitoring Body. After a period of six weeks, you have the right to contact the enforcement and monitoring body directly. With the involvement of all parties concerned, the ombudsman's office will attempt to determine the circumstances of the lack of accessibility so that the provider can rectify them.
