Along the Rheingau Monastery Trail are three former (Eberbach, Johannisberg, and Marienhausen) as well as three living (Marienthal, Nothgottes, and St. Hildegard) monasteries. Pilgrim hikers can divide the 30 km long route into four sections, each starting and ending at a train station.
