Along the Rheingau monastery trail lie three former (Eberbach, Johannisberg, and Marienhausen) as well as three active (Marienthal, Nothgottes, and St. Hildegard) monasteries. Pilgrim hikers can divide the route (30 km) into four parts, each starting and ending at a train station.
