Fire & Smoke BBQ Camp Rüdesheim
Look forward to an intense yet relaxed weekend centered around real barbecue. Of course, grilling will take place, but as the name suggests, our focus is clearly on barbecue and everything that goes with it. Fire, smoke, time, taste, and the understanding of the individual processes are at the forefront.
It's not just about putting something on the grill, but about understanding why something turns out really well.
To ensure this really works, the number of participants is intentionally limited to 16 people. This way, everyone has enough time at the grill and we create a personal, relaxed atmosphere.
And that's exactly what matters to us in the end.
A weekend full of passion, attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm, where people come together who just want to have a good time together.
Who accompanies you throughout the weekend
The camp will be run by two chefs who couldn’t be more different, and that’s why they fit together perfectly.
Oliver – that's me.
Owner of a tavern in Rüdesheim, organizer of the camp, and above all a passionate cook and BBQ fan. For me, grilling and barbecue are not just about food, but about the experience. Standing together by the fire, tasting, sharing, and just having a really good time.
Mo - is a young, creative chef from the upscale gastronomy.
He brings a feel for the fine nuances, a love for detail, and a great passion for his craft. Mo lives his job, and you can really see that.
Together we combine honest barbecue with creative cuisine. Down-to-earth, but with ambition.

The Location
With the Rüdesheimer Hof , we have found a location that perfectly suits our concept.
We have a covered sun terrace available where we can work and enjoy ourselves relaxed. There is also fresh draft beer and ample space in the courtyard to set up our grills and smokers.
As a closed group, we can enjoy the weekend completely relaxed in a private atmosphere.
The right mood is also taken care of.
Good music plays in the background, and for those who enjoy it, there’s a cozy spot to perhaps enjoy a cigar or two, preferably with a small glass of whiskey.

This is what you can expect
On Friday we start together in the tavern Zwockel.
With a platter, house beer, and a shot or two, we will ease into the weekend.
Afterwards, we will go on a guided city tour through Rüdesheim with a guide from Rüdesheim Tourism. Informative, relaxed, and with a good dose of humor.
Then we’ll continue through the city together.
We will visit, among other places, the cult pub Hajo's , the Dudelsack pub with its impressive whiskey selection, and end the evening at Oberstübchen with Frankie, a real original.
On Saturday, we dive straight into the BBQ program after breakfast.
You will learn among other things how to make a really good BBQ sauce, how to prepare and cook a brisket in the smoker, and how to marinate and grill chicken wings to perfection.
Already on Saturday, we lay the foundation for the finale.
The coleslaw will be prepared, the dough for the cornbread will be made, and together we will develop a smoky, sweet-spicy barbecue sauce.
This will naturally be used on-site and thoroughly tested. And everyone will also take some home.
For lunch, there will be burgers from the grill.
In the evening, we will enjoy a relaxed BBQ on the terrace with various specialties, your own chicken wings, and everything that goes with it.
Later, there will be a casual ending with a snack from the Dutch oven.
On Sunday, we bring everything together.
Fresh cornbread from the oven, smoked ribs, and our prepared coleslaw will make for a well-rounded finale.
At the end, everyone will receive a goodie bag as well as all the recipes for grilling at home.

Quality
We do not compromise on meat and all ingredients.
The meat comes from Hof-Stahl, in Oberwesel.
Good barbecue thrives on time, care, and quality, and that is exactly what we emphasize.

Travel, Parking, and Accommodation
We have learned a lot from last year and want to offer you a well-rounded event this year. This naturally includes ensuring that travel, parking, and accommodation are uncomplicated.
At the Rüdesheimer Hof , we have already blocked rooms for you.
The hotel offers comfortable, partly newly renovated rooms and is overall a very pleasant accommodation.
If you need a room, please let us know shortly.
You don’t have to worry, as enough rooms have been pre-booked for our event.
What is important to us is just a brief feedback with your wishes, such as whether a single room, double room, or shared accommodation is desired.
Additionally, two fully equipped holiday apartments are also available, which are particularly suitable for small groups.
There are parking spaces directly at the hotel.
If these should not be sufficient, there’s a large video-monitored parking lot within walking distance with enough space for small and large vehicles. Even a 40-ton truck can park there without any problems.
The transport connections are also very good because we are located near the train station with good connections to Wiesbaden, Mainz, and Frankfurt.

Brief Cost Overview:
The ticket for the BBQ camp costs €259 in the Early-Bird-Tarif until June 15 and €299 thereafter.
Included in the ticket are:
Dinner on Friday in the tavern Zwocke including drinks
City tour on Friday evening
Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday
All necessary barbecue ingredients and items
All meals (lunch, dinner, late-night snacks)

Important: Hotel costs are not included in the ticket and must be borne on-site. A special price is currently being calculated for our group, as "Rhein in Flammen" takes place in the neighboring village that same weekend, leading to high occupancy.
If you have any questions about the hotel or in general, I am happy to assist you anytime and will take care of everything in advance.
In the end, it's about more than just good food.
It's about fire, smoke, taste, and shared time.
About maybe coming together as strangers and going home as friends in the end.
And we're really looking forward to that.
