WALK LIKE A LOCAL offers a real and simultaneously digital excursion experience. The tours are conducted independently with your own smartphone. We locals have shot short videos and put together a noteworthy route that surprises with its incredible views and facets.

The landscape is explored independently. The wine that grows here can be tasted by you in the vineyard. In addition, interesting information about wine growing and the region is conveyed through our videos to your smartphone. A hike is possible with just 2 people.

In your pocket

Heart of the box is an individual card deck, consisting of 15 playing cards and a map. On the back of each playing card is a QR code that is scanned with the smartphone. A video or audio contribution (3-5 minutes) will then appear.

The cards explain the wine, the sight, or convey interesting information about the region according to the location.

During the tour, 4 premium Rheingau wines will be tasted, which we have exclusively bottled in 0.25 l units. Convenient with a screw cap so that the bottle can also be comfortably closed during the tour.

THE ROUTE

The tour starts in the old town of Rüdesheim. From there, it goes up to Germania in a relaxed manner via the cable car.
The path leads through the Niederwald towards "Ruine Rossel."
A small section of the Rheinsteig will be walked before heading into the Rüdesheim vineyards.
At various wonderful spots, wine will be tasted, hiked, looked at, and marveled.

At a leisurely pace, you can plan around 4 hours for the 8.5 km route with not much elevation gain.
