Since 1977, our traditional fireworks event in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley near Rüdesheim has been thrilling guests from all over the world. Be there live when the sky above the Rhine is transformed into a colorful sea of colors! On board the MS Poseidon, you can enjoy the spectacle in a convoy with the best view of the fireworks.
Rhine in Flames 2026 with the MS Bingen from Rüdesheim Experience the unique fireworks spectacle “Rhine in Flames” aboard the MS Bingen, a modern ship at the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley.
The ship & seating
The MS Bingen offers space for around 200 guests on two comfortable saloon decks.
Reserved seating: When you make your booking, adjacent seats on one of the two indoor decks will be reserved for you. This is also where you will enjoy your festive menu.
Sun deck (open deck): The best place to watch the fireworks! Seating here is unreserved; reservations are not possible.
Cuisine
A menu will be served at your table on board.
2-course meal on board:
Main course: Medallions of young pork in a fresh mushroom cream sauce with buttered spaetzle
Vegetarian alternative to the main course: Vegetable lasagna
Dessert: Chocolate mousse tartlets with vanilla sauce
Drinks can be ordered as desired (not included in the price).
Course of the cruise Departure: approx. 6:30 p.m. from Rüdesheim. Cruise through the romantic Middle Rhine Valley with impressive views. At nightfall, the ships form a convoy. Return trip with impressive fireworks along the Rhine.
Arrival: Shortly before midnight, return to Rüdesheim and end of the event.
Note: The route may be adjusted depending on environmental conditions (e.g., water level of the Rhine). Please be punctual at the pier, as the ship cannot wait.
