Since 1977, our traditional fireworks event in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley near Rüdesheim has been thrilling guests from all over the world. Be there live when the sky above the Rhine is transformed into a sea of color! On board the MS Liebenstein, you can enjoy the spectacle in convoy and with the best view of the fireworks.

Experience the enchanting summer night on the Rhine during Rhine in Flames 2026 aboard the Liebenstein. Enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Middle Rhine Valley and the spectacular fireworks from the sun deck.

The Ship

The Liebenstein is just right for those who prefer a cozy, intimate atmosphere on a smaller ship. The Liebenstein is part of the LUX-Werft fleet and accommodates 170 guests. All meals are freshly prepared in the onboard kitchen. The friendly service, excellent food, and atmospheric ambiance make this cruise particularly popular with our guests.

Culinary Experience

During the cruise, you’ll enjoy a freshly prepared dinner. Drinks are not included in the ticket price.

Buffet: “German Classics on the Rhine”

Homemade potato salad – Traditional pasta salad – Coleslaw – Mixed salad bar with separate dressings – Bread basket with various types of bread

Local butcher’s bratwurst with separate homemade curry sauce, as well as mustard and ketchup Small pork cutlets with separate mushroom cream sauce, fried potatoes, and baby potatoes with herb quark, plus market vegetables

Quark dessert with fruit – Vanilla pudding with chocolate sauce

Rüdesheim am Rhein: estimated departure at 5:00 PM; return: approx. 12:00 AM

Fireworks: starting around 10:15 PM; best viewed from the sun deck, where the DJ will also keep the party going The cruise begins and ends in Rüdesheim.

The route may be adjusted depending on weather and water levels.

Music

A DJ provides musical entertainment and sets the mood on the outdoor deck.

Your Seats on Board

Upon booking, contiguous seating for your group size will be reserved, where dinner will also be served. The open deck is available for free seating - ideal for photos and viewing the fireworks.

Please note: Table sizes are fixed. If there is an odd number of participants or for individual bookings, you may be seated with other guests.
