Varied hiking tour through the Rheingau region

The circular tour is a unique round trip that combines a leisurely hike with a boat ride, cable car, and chairlift ride. In addition to various attractions such as the Niederwald Hunting Lodge and the Rossel ruins, the tour, which lasts about three to four hours, takes you past vineyards and through cool forests. Where you want to start this adventurous round trip is entirely up to you, for example, by taking the cable car from Rüdesheim to the Niederwald Monument and then walking to the chairlift that leads down to Assmanshausen. In the red wine community in the Rheingau-Taunus district, you will find numerous options for a small break along the way. The return to Rüdesheim is then comfortably by boat.

PLEASE NOTE: Currently, the Assmannshausen chairlift is out of service. You can walk from the Niederwald Monument to the Niederwald Hunting Lodge. From there, the footpath to Assmanshausen is signposted. The excursion boats in Assmanshausen operate as usual back to Rüdesheim. Plan-A round tour
