Local Dancing
08/21/2026
local dancing invites you to dance local dances together – for pleasure and accompanied by live keyboard music.
This includes, for example, the 5-5-5-5-5 dance, the Summertime Sadness dance, the Fairydance, or the Procession dance. From queer tradition and self-invented instant tradition, local dancing imagines popular group dances that may have traveled through time and today appear non-binary and uneven. Without national ties, the dances pretend to be local – no matter where they are danced. They create an occasion to come together and be carried away in the repetition and routine of a circular choreography.
In collaboration with Implantieren Festival.
