We warmly invite you to join us in inaugurating the next station in the Rheingau. The WDC Pavilion will be officially opened and welcomes visitors to a morning dedicated to democracy, participation, and collaborative creation.

Representatives from politics, culture, and World Design Capital 2026 will engage in dialogue with young people and local stakeholders. The focus is on exchange, participation, and new perspectives on living together in the local community. In addition to an interactive discussion format, the programme includes the presentation of donation funds from the WDC project “Stimme 26” as well as a participatory theatre workshop on democracy.

10:00 Official opening by District Administrator Sandro Zehner and Mayor Dirk Stuckert, together with Maurice Riegler (WDC), Sabine Nebel (RTKT), Vera Jung (Managing Director of Brömserburg), Constructlab Nord (WDC Pavilion Residency), and Helena Kiefer (Programme Design)

10:30 From the Engine Room of Democracy: District Administrator and Mayor in discussion with 10th-grade students from Hildegardis School in Rüdesheim

11:30 Presentation of the donation funds from the WDC project “Voice 26” from Bad Schwalbach to the new women’s shelter of the Rheingau-Taunus district

11:45 Feeling Boundaries, Understanding Power, Experiencing Democracy – workshop with theatre educator Nora Koschel-Geckeler and the 10th-grade students of Hildegardis School in Rüdesheim, as well as other children and young people.
