The Hotel Schön am Rhein is located directly on the Rhine promenade of Assmannshausen, overlooking ships and vineyards. 23 rooms and suites, many with a balcony facing the Rhine. Breakfast served daily from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday to Sunday from 2 p.m. coffee, cake, and Rheingau wine on the Rhine terrace under the wisteria, and hearty cuisine in the evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday is a rest day for the restaurant. The train station is within a few minutes' walk.

The house is located directly on the Rhine promenade (B 42) in Assmannshausen, 5 km downstream from Rüdesheim. From Mainz, Koblenz and the A 61, take the car ferry Bingen–Rüdesheim. Assmannshausen train station is just a few minutes' walk, and the boat dock is about 200 m away. Free parking is available about 150 m from the house, with parking at the house upon reservation.Good to know
