The tour is accompanied by two cultural and wine ambassadors from Rheingau, one of whom, as a nature park guide for RheinTaunus (Dr. Marco Hoyer), explains both the historical and current aspects of the cultural landscape in the Niederwald, while the other, as an oenologist (Hans Kessler), shares his extensive knowledge of viticulture and winemaking.

Meeting point at Jagdschloss Niederwald – explanations about the creation and history of the Ostein landscape park as a late Baroque creation of a visionary. Then a hike over the magic cave to the knights' hall and to the artificial ruin Rossel, from there further to the hermitage and over the Niederwald monument to the little temple before returning along the straight sand avenue back to Jagdschloss Niederwald. Along the way, you will experience magnificent views of the Rhine and the opposite Nahe estuary - including a tasting of 4 wines at particularly beautiful viewpoints.
